Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
When Dr. Murph was a teenager, he went through a typical rite of passage for kids around his age – getting braces. Unlike most other teens, though, this experience ignited a strong interest in the world of dentistry. He realized what a great profession it was right away and decided that it may be a good fit for him too. The rest, they say, is history!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Murph achieved his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. From there, he went on to the Medical University of South Carolina, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine. Since then, he has completed over 600 hours of continuing education courses, including state-of-the-art training in Trinon Dental Implants and orthodontics. He is also the owner of Dental Development Seminars, providing dedicated lectures and hands-on instruction in several countries across the world. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he isn’t busy at the dental office, Dr. Murph’s favorite hobbies include going on mission trips, playing chess, scuba diving, relaxing on cruises, and participating with the Boy Scouts of America. Here’s an interesting fact about him: he can wiggle his ears!
